Some time off over Easter

So with a little time off over the Easter holiday it’s amazing what you can get on with!

I have bashed the case for the MaxiMite just waiting for the LED holders.  Then I can look at printing some front and rear panels. 

Started looking at the MicroMite, it sort of works but I think that the 3.3v line is a little low in mA.  I have ordered some regulators to see if this helps.  It would be good to have a board that can run from a PC USB port.

Also finished my Conway’s Game of Life on the ZX Spectrum, looking at using this code to learn Z80 assembly.  I will start by converting each routine to assmberly one at a time.  May also port this to the MaxiMite once it’s finished!

MaxiMite build

Started to build a MaxiMite colour computer after seeing The 8bit Guy’s video. Ordered the PCB from Australia arrived in no time at all!  Got myself a couple of SMD practice PCB from ebay before trying the Micromite board.  I have tested the board using the USB port, just waiting on some components from ebay to test the VGA output.
